Quaint Africa Safaris began as a dream between two brothers who grew up in the shadow of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest — where their father was among the first rangers to habituate the mountain gorilla family known as Katendegere.
We are not distant planners in a distant office. We carried clients' bags as porters, learned every ridge of the forest as children, and later became safari guides across East Africa. Today we design luxury journeys that honour that inheritance — authentic, conservation-led, and deeply personal.
Registered as Quaint African Safaris Ltd and licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board, we are proud members of the Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO), with UWA permit access when gorilla and chimpanzee permits are scarce — because our guests should never miss the moment they crossed oceans to find.

Known to guests as Tyson, City Tyson Magezi founded Quaint Africa Safaris after more than a decade as a professional safari guide across Uganda and East Africa. He grew up beside Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where his father was among the first rangers to habituate the mountain gorilla family Katendegere — carrying clients' bags as a porter, learning every ridge as a child, and later guiding travellers through the Pearl of Africa.
He holds a diploma in Tourism Operations Management from Nkumba University and personally shapes itineraries from first enquiry to farewell — permits, lodges, community visits, and the unhurried moments that make a journey unforgettable. His work is rooted in a simple promise: to serve guests well and conserve these landscapes for generations to come.
