This three-day luxury safari links rainforest and savanna by air: where Uganda’s savannah meets the forest you meet mountain gorillas, classic big game, and the Nile. Highlights include gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, game drives in Queen Elizabeth’s Ishasha sector (tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos on the Ishasha River), a Batwa cultural experience, and a boat cruise to the source of the Nile at Jinja with a visit to the Gandhi monument.

Day by day
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport your guide meets you for breakfast and relaxation before your domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Kihihi airstrip). A short road transfer brings you to Buhoma and your lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure. In the evening enjoy a one-hour Batwa experience that sets the stage for tomorrow’s gorilla trek.
Early departure with your ranger for mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi—briefing, forest trek with chances of birds and primates, then one hour with a gorilla family (leave only footprints). After refreshments at the lodge, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector for an evening game drive among tree-climbing lions, leopards, antelope, elephant herds, buffalo, and hippos along the Ishasha River.
Wake early for a short Ishasha game drive with another chance at tree-climbing lions, then fly to Jinja. Check in, enjoy lunch, and in the early evening visit the Gandhi monument before a boat cruise to the source of the Nile where the river meets Lake Victoria.
After a relaxed breakfast, transfer to Jinja airstrip for your Aerolink flight to Entebbe (about 45 minutes). Your guide can assist with a hotel stay or your international departure connection; flight times are confirmed when your safari is booked.
