Kibale National Park holds one of Africa’s richest primate forests—famous for chimpanzee tracking, 13 primate species, and 375+ bird species—linked by a wildlife corridor to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen spans the equator between Lakes George, Edward, and Albert with the Kazinga Channel, tree-climbing lions, four of the Big Five, and traditional salt mining at Lake Katwe.

Day by day
Early departure from Kampala or Entebbe on a scenic 6–7 hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park with crater-lake landscapes and photo stops en route, then check in at your lodge for the night.
After breakfast, chimpanzee tracking (about 3–4 hours) and briefing, then lunch at the lodge. Afternoon Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk—community tourism, monkeys, and outstanding birding—before driving through Kasese with Rwenzori views to Queen Elizabeth for a brief evening game drive and overnight.
A dawn game drive seeks tree-climbing lions, leopard, hyena, elephant, antelope, hippo, and birds in the morning light. After a break, visit Lake Katwe’s traditional salt works and curio shopping, lunch on the Mweya peninsula, then an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise—Uganda’s longest channel linking Lakes George and Edward—with hippos and wildlife at the shoreline.
A relaxed breakfast, then drive back toward Kampala through Lake Mburo National Park with chances of zebra and long-horned Ankole cattle, equator experience at latitude zero, optional tea-farm stop, and evening drop-off at your chosen location in Kampala or Entebbe.
